Biography

Fernando specializes in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, new technologies (including fintech), start-ups, co-investments, legal management, foreign investments, valuations and public trust and mediation, with more than 20 years of experience in business law. Prior to founding Anker Abogados, he was part of prestigious national law firms, becoming a partner in one of them before the age of 30.

In May 2009, Fernando obtained the authorization from the Ministry of Economy of the Government of Mexico to be a Mercantile Public Notary No. 8 of Mexico City, which allows him to act as a Latin-law public notary in commercial transactions, an expert in commercial law and an expert in all types of goods and rights (currently focusing on real estate and intangible assets). During the 2020-2021 biennium, he served as President of the Colegio Nacional de Correduría Pública Mexicana, A.C., an association that brings together the mercantile public notaries of the country and is the unified voice of this profession at the national level.

In July 2015, he was certified by the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City as a certified private mediator, which allows him to give conclusive effect and res judicata to the agreements reached by the parties before him in settlement agreements in commercial, civil and family matters.

Fernando devotes most of his professional time to advising domestic and foreign companies with a presence in Mexico on the day-to-day legal aspects of their business in the country.

In addition, Fernando has taught business law at important universities in the country, such as the Universidad Iberoamericana and the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) (2014-2021), the most prestigious teaching institution in Mexico in the field of social sciences. He has also been a guest professor in the Executive Master in Business Administration (Executive MBA) program of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
